Recognizing needs in our community, Battenkill started its "Without Walls" Group Day Habilitation Program in 2001.
Shedding away from the traditional Day Program setting, we provide programming within the communities in which our participants reside.

Our Respite program facilitates weekend getaways & excursions for participants.
Our creative and unique approach to providing Respite as a group overnight trips continue to be a favorite amongst all who attend!
We offer both weekend and extended weekend trips throughout the year to various places in the community including:

Ridin' Hy Ranch in Warrensburg, NY. Seasonal trips to various places including the Catskills, Lake Placid, Vermont and New York City

When Covid-19 hit and forced us to suspend day services in Mid-March 2020 we set about planning how we could bring our services to the individuals we support.
Our online programming is able to serve individuals we support who are not ready to come back into the group setting.

COMMUNITY HABILITATION:
Through Community Hab we are able to provide one on one and group services both in the community and/or the individual's home that are centered on building independence in all areas of life.
FISCAL INTERMEDIARY
We are able to provide rental assistance, environmental modifications (to make homes safer for individuals)
COMMUNITY HABILITATION:

We are able to provide rental assistance, environmental modifications (to make homes safer for individuals) and adaptive technology that assists in allowing individuals to with a disability or impairment accomplish a specific task.
